The Pine Forest print is a one-way print, meaning the trees and creatures should face up. Sadly, the style's marker (or, placement diagram) ordered before the cutting of the fabric was not a one-way marker and so after positioning all 8 sizes in economical ways to ensure minimal fabric wastage, some dresses were made up correctly (sizes 34, 38 & 42) but the majority were made with the print upside down (you really can't make this stuff up; sizes 30, 32, 36, 40, 44). Even sadder is that no one along the production line caught this issue until all the units were made.
If we can find a silver lining here, which we must, it's that the print is a dynamic and dense one so the Upside Down Melon Dress is still a beautiful garment - now just with added conversation-starting abilities and your own front-row seat view of this forestial celebration.
